Sara Schultz of SK Design Group was present to review the details of the project. Building code states that you cannot build any structure (a stone patio would be ok) within 40ft of the lake so the proposed deck is an issue. A new dock license will be applied for. The project was approved with the special condition that the trees are to be removed during the drawdown and the stumps are to remain and the deck as proposed is not allowed.
Weiss, Beartown Mtn Rd – NOI – construct a single family home, garage, driveway, well and septic within 200’setback of Loom Brook (D. Lynch is the project manager)
Chris Tryon of Berkshire Geo-Technologies was present to review the project. Several discussions were had with Mark Stinson of DEP. Christine Goldfinger, an abutter was concerned with the proximity of the proposed leach field to her property. The project was approved with the following conditions: 5 iron markers with boulders to mark 100ft boundary, no lawn fertilizer and 4-6 apple trees to be minimum 2” diameter.
For Discussion:
- Ken Wagner came in to have an informal discussion about Lake Garfield and the milfoil issue. He recommended that the drawdown should be 6 feet every year.
- Mail was reviewed.
- Minutes from 10/13 & 11/10/15 were approved as written.
